The Final Project Idea
I will be constructing a bookcase chair (see below). I would like to make the chair so that it can be taken apart and reassembled as needed. The designs that I researched are similar to what I have in mind, but I would like to use less vertical supports than most of the designs (if possible);
Materials
For this project, I will need 3/4" plywood, 2x2, and 2x1, based on designs that I have researched. Some designs also utilize 2x4. As I go forward in the design process, I will decide which is appropriate for this build.
Cost
Based on the research I did, this chair will cost roughly $112

This is a fun project. Creating a "knock down" version is a great challenge. All the examples probably weigh at least 100 pounds.
ReplyDeleteThis could probably be designed to use only one sheet of plywood.
